Tony Cooney
Tony joined the firm in 1991 and became a Partner in 1997. He is a chartered accountant and a Fellow of Chartered Accountants Ireland.
Tony heads the firm’s Audit & Assurance Department and acts as the engagement partner for a number of the firm’s major clients. Specialising in the areas of audit and business advisory services, he has extensive experience in statutory audit, financial and management reporting, internal audit and corporate governance. He works with branches of overseas and multi-national companies and medium to large owner-managed businesses in industries such as not-for-profit, property, construction and healthcare. He is also the overall partner in charge of all Credit Union audits carried out by the firm.
He is also responsible for building the firm’s public sector consulting division, particularly in the areas of internal control, compliance consulting, audit and assurance, process design and systems implementation.
In addition Tony leads the firm's company secretarial group.
